Paula Dean seriously is just an insane parody of the stereotype of southern cooking. She's a big joke, and most Americans see it that way. I honestly don't know why she's on TV though, when the dietary consciousness is going the other way. On average I say most Americans are now more focused on natural, healthy foods. Organic, etc. There's a high amount of vegan/vegetarianism here, and stores/restaurants catering to that. I? was actually shocked to find over there you have so many vegan options.

my hair looks like that naturally! im glad even though it's not pin straight and i have to wash it the night before so i dont look like a poodle! lol and the organic soy milk is gross, the first time i had it i thought it tasted like apples and the second time it was rank,? i prefer the original soy milk. i would prefer to be invisible, being able to fly would probs make me sick xx

The majority of America definitely does NOT eat like Paula Deen cooks. I'm from the South and love me some southern comfort food, but most of the food on her shows are the extreme of fatty, heavy food - yummy of course, but the same dishes can be done so much lighter and healthier. And thankfully a lot of people are? finally realizing that, and realizing what eating food from that show all the time can do.
